তথ্য ও প্রমাণকে অগ্রাধিকার

দুরবীন নিউজের সম্পাদকীয় সিদ্ধান্ত স্বাধীনভাবে নেওয়া হয়।
সংবাদ প্রকাশে যাচাইকৃত তথ্য, প্রমাণ ও নির্ভরযোগ্য সূত্রকে অগ্রাধিকার দেওয়া হয়।
শিরোনাম, ভাষা, ছবি ও উপস্থাপনায় অতিরঞ্জন বা প্রচারণার ভঙ্গি এড়ানো হয়।

ন্যায্যতা ও ভারসাম্য

গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয়ে সংশ্লিষ্ট সব পক্ষের বক্তব্য নেওয়ার চেষ্টা করা হয়।
প্রাসঙ্গিক ভিন্নমত থাকলে তা যথাসম্ভব তুলে ধরা হয়।
কোনো পক্ষের বক্তব্য পাওয়া না গেলে "বক্তব্যের জন্য যোগাযোগ করা হয়েছিল" ধরনের উল্লেখ রাখা হতে পারে।

সংবাদ ও মতামত আলাদা

সংবাদ এবং মতামত বা বিশ্লেষণ আলাদা করে প্রকাশ করা হয়। মতামতের লেখা "মতামত" বিভাগে থাকে এবং লেখকের নাম উল্লেখ থাকে।
মতামত লেখকের নিজস্ব। স্পষ্ট উল্লেখ না থাকলে তা দুরবীন নিউজের অবস্থান নয়।

স্বার্থের সংঘাত

সম্পাদক ও প্রতিবেদকেরা স্বার্থের সংঘাত এড়িয়ে চলেন।

সংশোধনী ও জবাবদিহি

Facts and evidence first

Editorial decisions at Durbin News are made independently.
We give priority to verified facts, evidence and credible sources.
We avoid exaggeration and campaign-style framing in headlines, language, images and presentation.

Fairness and balance

On important issues we seek comment from all the parties concerned.
Where differing views are relevant, we include them as far as possible.
If a party cannot be reached, we may note that they were contacted for comment.

News and opinion kept apart

News and opinion or analysis are published separately. Opinion pieces sit in the মতামত (Opinion) section and carry the writer’s name.
Opinion is the writer’s own. Unless clearly stated, it is not the position of Durbin News.
